This is the website for Good Governance Ltd which now incorporates The Benchmarking Institute.
The site has been established to reference, develop and promote the body of knowledge developed by John Bullivant and colleagues in the fields of performance, benchmarking, quality improvement and good governance. The focus of the work is mostly health but other sectors have been covered and may well find the information of use.
At the core of this work has been the development of the maturity matrix as an institutional self assessment tool. The origins for this lie in the work of the NHS Benchmarking Reference Centre which was part of NHS Wales VFM Unit in the 1990s. Most of the matrices have been produced by the Good Governance Institute under license from the Benchmarking Institute.
